What I can do

My services are broadly split into four types of service:

Garden Maintenance

With reliable and regular calls throughout the year, Emerald Garden Creations will move your garden forward with pro-active improvement all year round.

Previously tired and lifeless gardens will bloom and flourish under our horticultural skilled care, as we hand-weed, tidy, correctly prune and manage your garden to get the most from every season.

From the moment we set foot in your garden, our objective is not simply to maintain, but to enhance and provide interest and structure across the seasons.

We are available to plant up colourful summer baskets and tubs, and design pretty winter planters to provide interest through the darkest months.

Like all other breathing and living organisms, your garden needs sustenance as well as care to ensure it reaches its full potential and value. Emerald Garden Creations know the recipe

On-site consultation

Offering day or early evening appointments with a 60-minute consultation for homeowners and professionals at their home.

It will cover garden styles, the potential of the outdoor space, and integrating this with the property. How to get the best out of existing plant stock whilst introducing new seasonal plant types and elements.

The client has the choice to then either take those ideas and act on them themselves, or decide to commission a garden makeover to a full garden design.

A design consultation fee of £60 is payable at the end of the consultation and should the client commission a design, this is deducted from that cost.

Low cost improvement

These are small one off projects likely to come from an onsite consultation or a garden maintenance contract. These include:

Planting plans for imaginative, beautiful plant combinations.

Planting for security and privacy.

Garden makeover service - if your garden is needing a lift without a total re-design.

Can work with clients who want a professional horticulturist to design, source and install planting on an existing design.

Lifting and saving precious plants that might be damaged or otherwise be destroyed during building works.

Green roofs and vertical walls – a great way of utilising space in small areas

Full garden design service

Bringing together all of the elements that create the perfect garden.

Project Survey and Analysis:

Each site is inspected for its layout and function. Client interviews are conducted to determine all necessary requirements for the project. This information is then analysed for potential design concepts and survey planning.

Survey Planning:

Should the client wish to go forward with a design, then a design budget based on anticipated hours required for all of the elements involved in design planning will be advised. This is a fixed fee price (as long as the brief does not radically change). This will give peace of mind in the process.

Planting design service:

includes consultation, mood board, reference images and a detailed plan of plant positions together with supply specification and costs.
Working in partnership with the client, the Concept Plan will be further refined. It will be based on the client brief, concept sketches, and notes on plants and materials. This will form the basis of the final Landscape Master Plan.

The Landscape Master Plan:

A more refined version of the entire garden planned, this will form the last draft for final approval. When the master is approved, the final Landscape Master Plan will be completed, as well as any technical drawings as required.

Document Delivery:

Once all of the drawings are complete, the client will receive several copies of each, as well as any documentation needed for construction. In addition, we can prepare a full Landscape

Design Inspiration

I wanted to share a small selection of the images that have fed my inspiration.  I often notice how diversity of life on earth can inspire. I love architecture, materials, textures and light.
